Attorney Bio
I have handled a diverse number of cases in my almost 20 years of practice. I have learned that truth really is stranger than fiction because I have been part of many cases that would make an interesting novel.
I have helped recent immigrants who were involved in serious construction site accidents because contractors failed to follow the safety rules required by OSHA and other standards. I obtained a 1.5 million dollar settlement on behalf a man injured at his workplace because of a defective piece of equipment. Recently, I represented the family of a man who was killed by the actions of police and reached a significant settlement on their behalf. I represented a woman who was attacked in her apartment because of a lacking security system and obtained a noteworthy result. I have handled cases where people were injured by defective products such as space heaters, food mixers, cooking equipment, workplace machines, automobiles, and other devices. I have battled insurance companies over unfair policy decisions. I have helped people who would have been treated unfairly by their employer.
I have handled appeals of cases that led to the restoration of a case that a judge thought should be dismissed. Here are some examples: Mohamed v. Iglesia Evangelica, 424 N.J.Super. 489 (App.Div. 2012); Bolger v. City of Bayonne, 2009 WL 3459745 (App.Div. 2009); and Serrano v. Christ Hosp., 2007 WL 4462723 certification denied 194 N.J. 444 (2008).
